I've been engaged to design and implement QoS for a customer. The environment is primarily a Campus LAN across multiple buildings in an inner city environment. The client primarily uses Catalyst 4500 with Supervisor V (classic supervisor) at the access layer. The wired infrastructure is pretty standard but they have a large wireless environment and all IP phones are wireless (and non Cisco). As of now, I just have qos trust dscp on the the lan ports connecting to the APs and on the trunked PO interface connected to each 5508 controller.
I'd prefer not to do a blank trust dscp on the interface going to the controller. I've been looking at the Per-Port/Per-VLAN section for 4500's in the Medianet Campus QoS Design 4.0 guide. The guide shows the following as an example:
My question is; this interface is configured as a standard end user port with an IP phone and PC coming through the port. Can you use Per-Port/Per-VLAN configuration on a regular trunked interface with multiple VLANs allowed in the trunk? I would like to apply one service policy to the wireless voice VLANs and another service policy to the different wireless data VLANs.
