%PLATFORM-1-CRASHED on a stack of 3750

Hi

One switch of our stack of 8 3750 have reboot with no reason. Nobody was in the room server when it appears et there was'nt any electrical problem at this moment.

What we see in the log of the stack is that:

The switch have two crash info in his flash. I join it to this post.

Can you help us to know what append?

Is there a risk that append again?

Do we have to change the switch?

It's access server switch so it's critical for us.

I have decoded the crashinfo and found below detail,

Debug Exception (Could be NULL pointer dereference) Exception (0x2000)

The crash experienced on the switch was due to memory corruption. The memory corruption was detected by the 'Check Heaps' process, which runs every 60-seconds. However, the process that caused the memory corruption is not known since the corruption could have occurred anytime in the 60 second window between successive invocations of the 'Check Heaps' process.

Another possibility could be a transient parity error could manifest as a memory corruption -- eventually triggering a software forced crash in order to recover.

If the crash is only seen once (or rarely), the recommendation is to monitor the switch logs to confirm the crash was an isolated incident. If the crash re-occurs, then we need to replace the device.

I would suggest to open a TAC case so they can decode the crash info file.

I try to open a case but i have a problem with the support contract. My society have to make an update but for now they have done nothing. So i try to accelerate the situation but of the criticality of the switch
