I have a curious issue. I am running at stack of 3 WS-C3750X-48PF-S switches. I wanted to activate poe on a range of Interfaces so I just applied a simple interface range command and then typed power inline auto. I get the prompt that says command unrecognized.
So, I type show power inline and low and behold, the first 4 interfaces on the first switch are not listed in the list at all. All of the other interfaces on all 3 switches show up just fine.
Now the switch still does see the interfaces themselves. Just not for POE functionality. My only conclusion is that an ASIC has been affected and for what ever reason the ASIC that affects interfaces 1-4 thinks that they are not poe capable, when in reality they should be.
These switches are under limited lifetime warranty. Any ideas?

Hello
Are these 4 ports part of a network module?

Maybe a bug with the IOS? What is the exact IOS version is the stack running on?
Reload the stack and see if the problem goes away.

I supposed it could be a bug, but then why is it only affect interfaces 1-4 on one switch and not all 3 switches in the stack? They are all running the same code.
This interfaces are not in a module, these are the first four interfaces on a 48 port switch.
Now I did notice that there was a power outage 4 days ago. I guess its possible that something happened, but I am still leaning toward a hardware failure. I will reboot the stack tonight and see what happens.

Hello
Have you tried defaulting those interfaces.
