Port-based authentication

having this error while trying to config dot1x on physical port

ASW1(config)#interface fastEthernet 0/3
ASW1(config-if)#dot&
ASW1(config-if)#dot1
ASW1(config-if)#dot1x ?
% Unrecognized command
ASW1(config-if)#dot1x

how to make it works plz, im trying to configure port-based authentication on switch  3560

Make sure switchport mode access is enabled under the interface and you are running AAA

have already config the port mode to access and  thx i have used the alternative command 

authentication port-control i dont know why dot1x port-control doesnt works
