Hello,
We have a wireless controller connected to a core switch via two port bundled together to form a port channel 2.
There is a plan to shut down the switch ports connected to controller for some testing.
Is it advisable to shut the individual ports(eg.gig1/6 & gi1/7) from the switch side or to do a shutdown on the interface Po2.
Appreciate all inputs.

Always better to shutdown the physical ports & once you done with WLC testing you can enable switchport again.

I think you should shut down the port-channel first, because when you shut it down, its member ports will go "admin down" too.
