Port numbering Cisco Catalyst IE3300

Hello fellow technicians

I've recognized that the port numbering of the Cisco Catalyst IE3300 starts at the SFP Ports with 1/1 & 1/2.

Does an alternative device exists, of which the port numbering starts with RJ45 at 1/1?

I would be thankful, if someone could recommend me a device with similar specifications like the IE3300 has.

There are other platforms like the 3850 or 3650 series where the copper starts from 1/0/x

So, for example; on a 48 port 3650 switch, the copper ports start from 1/0/1-1/0/48 and the fiber uplink ports start from 1/1/1-1/1/4.

This type of numbering usually applies to switches that are stackable. Usually, if a switch is not stackable i.e 3560, the copper ports start from 0. For example, on a 48 port 3560, the ports would be 0/1-0/48.

The switches you mentioned are 19" / bigger switches. We're using those for other applications.

In the case, we're using the IE3300's we don't have the space to install something that big.
Also I reckon you're adressing another topic than me. 

In the picture of the following link, you can see the port numbering, which starts at 1/1 & 1/2 at the SFP Ports:

The copper ports start at 1/3 and go up to 1/10.

It is possible to add 16 more ports with an IEM3300. (2/1 until 2/16) The ports of the IEM3300 are perfectly numbered for our usage unlike the ports of the IE3300 itself.

I'm searching a device, which has roughly the same measurments like the IE3300 and the port numbering (copper) starts at 1 and not 3. (0/1, 1/1, n/1) Previous we've used the IE2000. The IE2000 comes with 8 or 16 ports. The IE3300 offers up to 24 copper ports. That's the mainreason we're switching to the IE3300's.
