Port-Security Question

Hi,

We've implemented port security on our switches and we configured them to alert us when the ports are violated. If we set them to shut with the violation, it just alerts us once but, if we set them to restrict it will continuosly alert us untill it is fixed. Is there a way that to make the port only alert once per violation when a port is set to restrict?

thanks, Pat.

No, because the device keeps trying to attach to the network - the port is not physically shutdown.
