Portchannel config

Hi,

I had a basic question, when configuring a portchannel, would I only configure the trunk on the portchannel or also on the individual interfaces?  Also, if the trunk was configured in both places what would happen?

Whatever is configured under Portchannel will be passed on to individual member interfaces.   So, not necessary to configure each interfaces first in theory; However, you may already have a trunk between switches just not in Portchannel, so adding it in both places will have no impact. 

All Portchannel member interfaces must have same configuration. So if you configure individual interface first, then Portchannel, make sure interfaces have same configs (no extra lines of configs).

You can do either way Individual interface or port-channel interface, if you doing changes on individual interface you need to do other interfaces to.

if you do change on port-channel interface they will replicated member of interfaces.
