Could you brief with some more infomration on this?
As far I can see you can test the following things:
1) Check all the products which you have ordered are in place( i.e Chasis, Supervisor module, Line cards).
2) Install the modules on the chasis
3) Power up the Cat switch 6509 and see everything comes up normall.
4) Do show ver- check the software version and see if you want to upgrade to the latest version if the one which is on the chasis is old.
5) Check show module and see all the modules are up and they have passed the online diagnostic.
6) It would be worth to collect the show tech as that will give you complete information of the switch.
7) Upload the configuraiton.
8) then connect it to the network and you should be good to go.
