Hi All,

There are few 3750 switches(in stack) which will be linked to nexus 9k switches.
3750's have some private vlans running on their ports. on connecting these with 9k, is there any specific configurations that is needed so the
private ones still continue working without any glitch?

thanks in advance.

Hello

It's hard to say - Are the pvlans being extended on to the nexus.

What exactly is the change being implemented in relation the existing topology

thanks for the reply Paul.

yes all the vlans (including the pvlans) will be trunked across to both switches.

It will involve only linking up the 3750's to the nexus gear via couple of uplinks and goal is to get the hosts connected on 3750's to continue working as they do at present.

(At present, they are uplinked to 6500 switch).

thanks for the reply Paul.

Hello Suthomas1,

Normally you dont require apart from regular trunk configration if both the interconnected switch understand PVLAN, If not then you need to use either of the below PVLAN trunking protocol for PVLAN Trunking.

Promiscuous PVLAN trunk and Isolated PVLAN Trunk.

For more informtion check out the below link for more in depth understanding.

PVLAN Trunking

Hope it Helps..

Hello

If the pvlans are just on this stack then all should be good

However if your L3 switching is being relocated and you have L3 pvlan then this needs to be reconfigured on the new L3 switch
