While porting over a config from a WS-C2960XR-24TS-I:
Cisco IOS Software, C2960X Software (C2960X-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.2(2)E7, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc3)
To a C9200-24T:
Cisco IOS Software [Cupertino], Catalyst L3 Switch Software (CAT9K_LITE_IOSXE), Version 17.9.4a, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc3)
Assigning 'channel # mode' on a particular port was acceptable in the old IOS (left-side of attached pic), but now returns the following in the new IOS (right-side of attached pic):
Command rejected: conflicts with Private vlan port
Is there a reason this would've changed at some point (as early at 2015, according to https://community.cisco.com/t5/switching/pvlan-promiscuous-port-and-port-channel-issue/m-p/2746147/highlight/true#M332776) ?
And any known workarounds to avoid having to drastically change our private-VLAN configuration?
Thanks!
