Problem in Stacking

Dear all,

I got opportunities to implement stacking.Can you please tell in stacking how many switch are connected maximum and minimum?

how to configure stacking between 7 switches?

After configure stacking how to connect core switch?

Here we are using 3750 switch.kindly suggest how to configure.I am waiting for anyone response.

Hi, 

kabeer!

First see exact model of 3750 and see its data sheet, by the way 3750 can be up to 9 switches can be stacked but this figure can be vary on different models.

How to configure stack of 7?

You wire the stack together using it's stack cables.  Then you configure stack,which will behave like a single switch but with banks of ports (from each stack member).

With 3750 stacks, its "easiest" if switches are similar, including series family, IOS version and IOS feature set.  (NB: if you have an 3750G-12S in your stack, you'll also want all stack members to use same SDM template.

How to connect to core switch?

I would suggest Etherchannel, using ports from different stack members.  Cisco suggests, for 3750 stacks, the active stack master not host an uplink port.
