PROBLEM OF CORPORATE NETWORK

HELLO,

In my topologie ,we have two model of switch, the first is the cisco 4500 serie and the secound is the cisco 3800 série ,when i connect the 3800 with switch 450; the switch 3800 reboot and the corporate network will have disrupt ,

we have the basic configuration and we haven' the segmentation in our network ,

please orient me ,how i can resolte this problems ,by witch commande ???

Hi there,

Do you have any logs from the 3850 (?) at the time it reloads? Either syslog, or via a console lead attached directly to the switch.

This will help us determine why the switch is reloading.

we isolate the cisco 3800 serie in our network , now the corporate network use only the châssis 4500 série as core switch ,but one for this chassis reboot ,and the syslog server recerve this message :

Can you provide the running config of the 4500 and 3800 switches and also indicate on which interfaces they are connected.

The output you have shared looks like a normal interface event. Certainly nothing that would cause a device to reload. It would be useful to connect a console lead to the 3800 so we can see what is being printed to the log buffer in the moments leading up the reload event.

Are you sure the switch is reloading and not just becoming disconnected?

With regard to the syslog messages, there is a good chance that the switch will lose comms with the syslog server before it reloads, you will therefore not see its last burst of messages if it is indeed reloading due to some catastrophic error. I suggest you connect a console cable to the switch and watch the buffer from there.
