Hi all,
I have a 2611 router running (C2600-IK9O3S3-M), Version 12.3(22), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2).
I have been having problems with my interface counters on both int e0/0 and int e0/1
Apparently when the input/output counters cross a certain threshold (4GB or so), the counters are looped back to zero.
However, this following is still shown when I issue the "show int" command.
"Last clearing of "show interface" counters never"
Is this a inherent problem with the amount of memory IOS allocates for holding the interface counters, and if so, is there any way to solve this?
Looking forward to comments/suggestions.
Thanks in advance.

AFAIK, there is no way to solve it.
It cannot set the "Last clearing" value because this applies to all the counters, not just the one that overflowed. It only gets set when you do a clear counters

Hi Kevin, thanks for the update.
Hope it's alright but is there anyone from Cisco who can comment on this? Thanks.
