We have a problem with our WS-X6904-40G module and VSL links.
We have two Catalyst 6509-E with VSS configured. Our VSL links is:
On supervisor module:
Te1/5/4 – Te2/5/4
Te1/5/5 – Te2/5/5
WS-X6904-40G module:
Te1/3/6 – Te2/3/6
Suddenly the Te1/3/6 went down and the only log message we get is:
%VSLP-SW1-3-VSLP_LMP_FAIL_REASON: Te1/3/6: Link down
%VSLP-SW2_STBY-3-VSLP_LMP_FAIL_REASON: Te2/3/6: Timeout (60000msec) waiting for Hello packet from peer
What we have done is change 10 Gbit SFP module, fiber on both side and fiber between locations. Also change port but no change. There is no light on Te1/3/6 but there is orange light on Te2/3/6.
