Hi,
I have a 3560 running version 15.0(2) SE5 that's showing high utilization.
Here's a sample from command "show proc cpu sor'
PU utilization for five seconds: 83%/2%; one minute: 80%; five minutes: 80%
PID Runtime(ms) Invoked uSecs 5Sec 1Min 5Min TTY Process
175 2512583491 270339457 9294 53.03% 48.92% 49.38% 0 hl3mm

127 537508726 51630211 10410 1.29% 1.09% 1.09% 0 hpm counter proc

413 332616539 1224618873 271 0.81% 0.95% 0.90% 0 PIM Process
I noticed process hl3mm is pretty high. Does anybody have a clue of what this process is about. Not much documentation
out there.
Thanks !!
Tony

I'm running this version on 100+ 3560 with no glitch.
Upgrading is no problem. Every 6 months (or so), I regularly upgrade >300 switches of different models and it takes about a week to finish the upgrade. All using CLI and no automation required.
but do you know what the process hl3mm is used for
Multi-cast routing.

Unless there is an urgent requirement for a feature found only in 15.X, use 12.2(55)SE-train for better stability. The latest version (not sure if this is the final version) is 12.2(55)SE10.

HI Leo,
Thanks for your response. I'm running this version on 100+ 3560 with no glitch.
Obviously, if I need to upgrade, I will eventually, but do you know what the process hl3mm is used for ?
