I have been investingating a network issue for a client. The majority of the client network is a Cisco switch fabric. The Switch Fabric is layed out as per the Cisco model: Core-Distribution-Access. AT the Core, the client is using a 4500 Catalyst with a Sup II+.
There have been some strange things going on within the network. I took a look at the log and did not find much. I then did a "sho proc cpu" and took a look around. I know from looking in here many times before that there is not usualy any one process that is using more than a percent or so.
Today for some reason, the following process is nailed up near 10%
51 9592565922718298286 352 9.51% 9.64% 9.56% 0 Cat4k Mgmt HiPri
I am hopeful that one of you will be able to tell me what this process is, and perhaps and further detail with respect to helping fix this.
Thank You.
Kevin
