Hi,
What is the port range of TCP and UDP ?

The port ranges of UDP and TCP actually the same; that is, they are independent of each other in priciple. So each has a range of ports from 1 to 64K. You distinguish them by the protocol field in the IP header: 6 for TCP, or 17 for UDP.
Very often, however, there are protocols that can run equally over TCP or UDP, and in these cases they usually use the same port number for UDP as they do for TCP. For example, DNS runs over UDP/53 or TCP/53.

This is my favorite site for this, because it also warns you which ports are susceptible to malware.
