I have referred various documentation on PRP implementation. In all those documents it says LAN A and LAN B shall not be connected. Recently I had a query that what will happen if purposely LAN A and LAN B directly connected.
Will it create a broadcast storm?
Is there a way to detect if there are any broadcast storms using Cisco commands or SNMP traps?
We can keep unused ports shutdown to avoid accidental connection. But are there any recommendations to avoid purposefully connection (unknowingly that the switches are PRP configured)?
Any recommendations are highly appreciated.
