cisco pvst used to support only isl...pvst+ supports dot1q....does pvst exist any longer or is it supported on any platforms? Why do even newer Cisco switches refer to pvst and not pvst+?

Nexus switches have rpvst enabled by default. I don't see a reason not to run it. When I do hardware refreshes for customers I always change their Catalyst switches to rpvst.
It's backwards compatible so if for some reason they end up plugging in a pvst switch, no big deal.
