QoS for p2p

Hello.


Can someone help me to create a QoS policy that restricts p2p (bittorent) traffic to 10% of the ADSL bandwidth when other traffic exists on network but use all the bandwidth if there is no other traffic?

My router is 877w,  (C870-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(24)T1

Hello.

First, with the release there is no good way to identify the traffic. NBAR may help you if you are running latest IOS release with latest signature file.

Second, if you need to limi the bandwidth on ingress (from Internet) - no way. If it's on egress - then it's hierarchical QoS (CBWFQ).
