Hi folks,
I am new to QOS and will be gratefull if someone here could help me out. I have the following setup
Client ----- port F0/1(SwitchC2960)port G0/1 ------ trunk ------ port G3/4(Switch6500) port G3/7 ----trunk---- port G0/1(SwitchC2960)port f0/10 ------ Client
Basically i have 3 switches interconnected in the above diagram. On both edges Client sending packets marked IPP5.
So my questions are:
if i trust dscp (mls qos trust dscp) on all ports shown in the above diagram that means IPP will be trusted too and forwarded with its initial marking?
If mls qos is not configured (QOS turned off) on switches above what happens to marked traffic?
Many Thanks
Parves

as DSCP is backward compatible with IP precedence trusting DSCP on all inter switches link (trunk) is good (trust dscp is the best practice).
If mls qos is not configured qos marking is not changed (and procesed obviously)
