QOS on the network

Hi all

If we have QOS set on all my switches and routers end to end on the network apart from where the Telephony equipment plugs in where we need to QOS applying, will the switch rewrite the values to 0 by default if the port isnt trusted? and so the return traffic will effectively not get prioritized as the switches will not see any QOS values in the packet?

Hello Carl,

It depends on the switch/supervisor engine type but most switches will indeed rewrite the dscp values to 0.
