we have CisocN9504 and Cisco N93180EY switchs. both sides we have 40G interface that we are using "QSFP-40G-SR-BD".
But the problem is that as soon as we insert the QSFP , the default Amber light becomes black..or it goes away.

We have given command like "no shut" , speed 40000 on interface ..but still no luck.
we r using MM OM3 cable..

what tshoot we can try here...

I thought the command on 9k to go 40gb with those adapters was to turn off the 10gb with no speed-group 10000 that enforced 40gb

The no speed-group 10000 command specifies a speed of 40G.

aswell do those switches support that exact adapter I don't see them listed in the ,matrix which was uupdated start of this month , may have missed it though in the doc below

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/interfaces_modules/transceiver_modules/compatibility/matrix/40GE_Tx_Matrix.html#_Toc481419592

Thanks Mark for reply. The command did not help .

and we have exact Line Card N9K-X9732C-EX (NX-OS Mode) ..and QSFP-40G-SR-BD is supported in the link you shared. so we should be ok from that perspective.
