QSFP-4X10G-AOC10M and C6800-16P10G compatibility

Hello community !

How to make a 40Gig link between a Nexus N5624Q and a Catalyst C6800-16P10G linecard (in 6506 chassis/Sup2T) please ?

I used to do it with CVR-4SFP10G-QSFP converter (plus a QSFP/QSFP link), but it is now out of sale (since 2019).

Is it possible to use a QSFP-4X-10G-AOC10M breakout cable ? (QSFP side on the Nexus, and 4xSFP+ side on C6800 card).
From the C6800 card POV, will it appear as a fortygig interface ?

Thanks in advance.

Vincent

Hello @vg45,

The key is as long as the 40Gig side is configured to break the 40 to 4x10G, it should not matter on the C6800 side, as it is just another 10Gig interface.

Best regards
