I read that for replacing the defective sups, CF card from the defective sup be moved to the replacement - http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/switches/catalyst-6500-virtual-switching-system-1440/117850-config-quadsupvss-00.html
Issue I have is defective sups has been sent back. I got the 2 replacement supervisors upgraded to the same image in production in the lab. I'm not able to test the installing of the replacement supervisors as we don't have quad sup in the lab.
My question is, do i just insert the replacement supervisors and config will be synced? What's the best way to approach this?
I'll be doing the change to install the replacement supervisor in the coming weeks.

Hi
you should have this already in your current config or similar
redundancy
main-cpu
auto-sync running-config
auto-sync bootvar
mode sso
Once that's there an sup is inserted and you run copy run start it should initiate a sync between the sups and bring it online ,
