query on VSS

Hi all ,

We are having VSS setup already . We want to add fiber module in both switches. Whether this reqires dowtime? If we add this in only one switch , whther it breaks the vss?

This is a regular line card? Is the platform 6500? Modules are hot swappable so it should not affect the uptime if you add a module.

Hi daniel ,

thanks a lot for the reply . we have 6500 platform with sup 720 and VSS enabled already . The line card which we going to install is fiber module and it is supported in VSS .

our query is whther it will affect the VSS setup or kindly let us know any precautionary things we need to follow?
