Question on a New Switch

Hi Friends,

I have bought a brand new L2 switch and connected two hosts A and B to it.

what will happen when host A try to connect to host B?

If host A has an IP on the same subnet as host B, they will be able to communicate with each other.

If host A has an IP on a different subnet than host B, you need a L3 device to route between these hosts.
