i have switch 2950 series i install IOS Software (C2950-I6Q4L2-M), Version 12.1(22)EA13 , is that mean that the switch work now at layer 3 , and how can i enable the layer 3 in this switch and how can i show the taype of layer through command prompt

Hi,

Cisco 2950 series switches are layer 2 switches which can have vlan's created and works for layer 2 functionlaity.

Hello,

Irrespective of the image you are running, 2950 switches cannot be configured as Layer 3 devices. It is a hardware limitation by design. When you are using 2950/2900XL/3500XL, you need to have a dedicated Layer 3 device to perform intervlan routing or perform the functionality of a gateway.
