Just want to double check my understanding...
given this output from a sh ver, how much DRAM and FLASH does this switch have?

Hi,
This line tells you about DRAM and Flash memory size.
cisco WS-C6509-E (R7000) processor (revision 1.5) with 983008K/65536K bytes of memory.
You have 1 GB memory and 64 MB bootflash on board.
Use "dir all-systems" or "show file systems" to check all external and internal FLASH disks on your device.
KK.

Thanks...
The reason Im askign is that, according to Ciscos IOS download advisor, this version of software requires 512 MB of DRAM and 512 MB of Flash.
So, we have 1G of DRAM, but only 64 MB of flash....
So how is it that the switch shipped with this IOS version?
What am I missing?

Hello Joe,
>> System image file is "sup-bootdisk:s72033-advipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-33.SXI2a.bin"
the image is in an internal flash named sup-bootdisk on the supervisor
according to software center the size of this image is :
s72033-adventerprise_wan-mz.122-33.SXI2a.bin
Size: 98574.76 KB (100940548 bytes)
Minimum Memory: DRAM:512 MB Flash:512 MB
that couldn't be stored in a 64 MB flash so there is another flash in the system use dir /all as it has been suggested
Hope to help
Giuseppe

Giuseppe:
OK, so with this line:
cisco WS-C6509-E (R7000) processor (revision 1.5) with 983008K/65536K bytes of memory.
There is 983 MB of DRAM and 65 MB of FLASH.
Also, when I do a dir sup-bootdisk: - that is showing me the onboard flash on the Supervisor, which is in addition to the 65MB.
All this correct?
Lastly, where then is the 65MB of FLASH located, if not on the SUP module?
Thanks

Hi,
Yes. All Correct.
You can find out where is 65MB of flash by "sh file systems" or "dir all-sys".
