Hi all ¡¡¡¡
I have a power connect 6220 stack with 2 units(its a dell chasis but the switch its a cisco).
I have only one vlan in the stack(vlan 1). When i try to established a interface for vlan 1 i have the error message "ERROR: Routing is not allowed on the Management VLAN".
¿If i want to routing in this stack i need to create another vlan? really i want to etablish vlan interface to te vlan 1 to can routing?
Why i have this error? If i make ip address xxxxxxx this addres can routing or its only to manage vlan 1?
Thanks all ¡¡¡¡¡

Those appear to be Dell switches. Have you contacted them or check the documentation ?
yes you would need another vlan or vlans for routing.
The message is pretty clear, no routing on the management vlan.

Thanks for the reply. Logicaly if i establish a default
gateway in the same network of the ip address of the management vlan i don't have routing.

Likely those switch do not allow routing and are pure L2 switches that do not allow more than one L3 interface at a time.
but as said earlier better check with Dell documentation.
