Hi everyone,
I am attempting to configure multicast routing on my 871W Router, but for some reason the "pim" subcommand does not exist. I am running IOS 12.4. What are people's thoughts as to why it is missing? All of the documentation I have read suggest the command "ip pim sparse-mode" should exist when called for an interface.
Below I copy-pasted the output from the router. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Router(config)#ip multicast-routing
Router(config)#interface Tunnel0
Router(config-if)#ip pim sparse-mode

Hi, the problem was that the cisco was using the advanced security package, not the advanced IP package. The ip pim command was available when the advanced IP was used. Thank you for your response.
