Without relying on PIM or any other multicast routing protocol, how would i relay multicast packets received on router interface A to interface B?
PC (multicast sender) -----> [Router] -----> (network cloud)
I/F A I/F B

Hello Matthew,
- if the multicast traffic needs to be routed then PIM is needed
- if the source/receiver are on the same vlan, you can use a igmp querier instead of PIM.
Here is more info:

This is assuming you have IGMP snooping enabled.
