Hi,
I'm looking at a couple of switches to buy for lab exam practice. Are there specific models of the 3560 or 3550 that I should buy, and are there any recommended retailers where I can buy them for a good price?
Thank You,
ADThomas

A 3560 will cost you a fortune unless someone else is buying them for you .3560 is just and updated version of the 3550. 3550's are end of life I believe but still a great switch to practice on , it has all the functionality that you would probably need to practice in a lab and would be cheaper to buy , they are probably your best bet. Don't know where , probably just google it, you'll get a thousand hits on resellers of cisco equipment .

While I agree with Glen that buying a 3560 is more expensive, I disagree that it has all the functionalities you really need.
The 3560 provides Private Vlan, IPv6, and a different QoS structure.

For less than a $1k, you can purchase a 3560 8 Port at newegg.
