Hi Team,

I am trying to add Cisco Switch C2960S to the Radius server, however the key string used here contains for example :

radius-server host x .x. x. x AUTH-port 1812 acct-port 1813 key 0 ABCD?1234?**

cisco switch does not take this string as part of the key below is error

Cisco Switch (config)#radius-server host x. x. x. x AUTH-port 1812 acct-port 1813 key 0 ABCD?
LINE <c  r>

Cisco Switch (config)#radius-server host x. x. x. x AUTH-port 1812 acct-port 1813 key 0 ABCD1234?
LINE <c r>

Cisco Switch(config)#radius-server host x. x. x. x AUTH-port 1812 acct-port 1813 key 0 ABCD1234**  {Missing ? Key string}

Please note: I can not change the Radius Key to a different key because this is given to me by my higher supervisor.

Any suggestion or Ideas are really appreciated .

Thanks & Regards,

Antony Xavier

you know that "key 0" means the string is unencrypted right?
so you can encrypt the key on another device that is able to handle the "?" character in the string
(using a method that Cisco also supports)

then use the "key <n> <encrypted-key> " command to configure the radius-server
