Reducing power usage on Cisco 24port SM module inside Cisco 3945

Hi Good People,

How am i able to reduce power usage on this module? There are only about 8 ports in use. Is it as simple as shutting down the ports or will the Cisco 3945 that powers the card always send full power?

I want to reduce power usage on the 3945/Modules as much as possible

Nope. It's not going to work. The router only has two "power mode": ON or OFF.
