Redundant connection between 4321 ISR and switch

Please help - is there a way to establish a fault tolerant connection between the 4321 ISR router and the 2960 or IE2000 switch?

Writing bachelor's work, doing a simulation at Cisco Packet Tracer. The HSRP activation command is not accepted by the simulator.

Hi

it is possible to use HSRP on Packet Tracer.  Can you share you project. You need to zip it first.

But the command 'standby' is available on L3 switches and routers:

Router(config)#in vlan 10

Router(config-if)#

Router(config-if)#

Router(config-if)#

Router(config-if)#stan

Router(config-if)#standby ?

<0-4095> group number

ip Enable HSRP and set the virtual IP address

ipv6 Enable HSRP IPv6

preempt Overthrow lower priority Active routers

priority Priority level

timers Hello and hold timers

track Priority Tracking

version HSRP version

Router(config-if)#standby

There are many ways to design fault tolerant connections with the mentioned devices, but I am assuming you are designing a flat layer 2 network. You can choose HSRP for it and it was also tested on PT. I think you are using an older version of PT or trying to add the same command with the wrong device or interface type.

Share your project if possible.

Good afternoon!
Packet Tracer Ver. 8.1.1.022.

No, of course planned to connect at the level of 3 - with ispolzovaniemIP address.
And yes - you were right - I tried to connect the wrong interface type because
NIM-ES2-4 provides Layer 2 rather than Layer 3 ports, as you might think
Config page in PT.

hi,

can you upload the Packet Tracer project file?

Hello!
Please find the .pkt file attached.
But there is now redundant lines anymore - I do not have enough time.

Good afternoon!
