Hello Expert,
I have faced a problem on POS interface,
these are two interfaces back to back details:
POS at 7600 router:
sh int PO3/0/0
POS3/0/0 is up, line protocol is down
Hardware is Packet over Sonet
Description: STM4-To-1stCore-SH
Internet address is 192.168.56.9/30
MTU 4470 bytes, BW 622000 Kbit, DLY 100 usec,
reliability 149/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255
Encapsulation HDLC, crc 32, loopback not set
Keepalive set (10 sec)
Scramble disabled
Last input 17:51:58, output 00:00:05, output hang never
Last clearing of "show interface" counters 14:09:13
Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0
Queueing strategy: fifo
Output queue: 0/40 (size/max)
1 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
1 minute output rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
5061 packets input, 111294 bytes, 0 no buffer
Received 0 broadcasts (0 IP multicasts)
0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
0 parity
9 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored, 0 abort
0 packets output, 0 bytes, 0 underruns
5096 output errors, 0 applique, 1 interface resets
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out
0 carrier transitions
POS at 12000 router:
POS0/2/3/0 is up, line protocol is down (APS not Configured )
Interface state transitions: 34
Hardware is Packet over SONET/SDH
Description: STM4-To-Permam
Internet address is 192.168.56.10/30
MTU 4474 bytes, BW 622080 Kbit (Max: 622080 Kbit)
reliability 255/255, txload 0/255, rxload 0/255
Encapsulation HDLC, crc 32, controller loopback not set, keepalive set (10 sec)
Last input 18:00:03, output 00:00:00
Last clearing of "show interface" counters 14:53:18
5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
5 minute output rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
0 packets input, 0 bytes, 0 total input drops
0 drops for unrecognized upper-level protocol
Received 0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles, 0 parity
0 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored, 0 abort

0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out
Would you please help to identify this issue ? what about reliability value ?
Regards,
Ahmed

Ahmed,
Forget about the Reliability conter.
Your main kissue is that both ends are in a
UP/Down state.
Have a read at this link.
Chech framing, clocking and scrambling

what powe log does means ?
Why POS interface went down suddenly ?
Thanks.
