REP protocol and Nexus 3548 switches

Hi there!

I'm seeking some help and advice with our current network setup.

Basically, as you can see from the network diagram attached; we're deploying vSAN Stretched Cluster between two data centers (2x Clusters with 4 hosts node in each cluster). We are adding 4 nexus 3548-X switches to the existing network as L2 switches and they will be connected over 2x10G links (we've configured them as back to back vPC) and also configured both nexus 3K at each site as vPC and uplinked them to the core switch.

Currently, there's 2x1G links between the cores switches (3750-X), and REP protocol is being configured on those links, and also there's a Flex Link between the Core switch and server farm switch.

My main concern here is that a potential L2 Loop will be presented in the network.

I'm not familiar with REP protocol (I know enabled REP will disable STP), so do I have to shutdown the 2x1G link between the core switches to avoid L2 loop creation ?

Shall I configure the nexus switches on the prime DC to be the root bridge/switch?

What's the best practice design here our network setup?
