We just performed an IOS upgrade and rebooted the VSS shelf pair based on Cisco CLI Analyzer recommendation and TAC case. Still no joy with the Power Supply that has already been RMAd. See switch output below after IOS upgrade. All serial numbers have been "Xd" out.
Fingers crossed we don't need to replace the chassis. Suggestions?
Log output:

This may not be such a good news. I found this document that says:
Error Message C4K_CHASSIS-3-BACKPLANESEEPROMREADFAILED: Failed to read backplane's serial eeprom, read [dec], expected size [dec] Explanation Reading the backplane's serial eeprom failed. Recommended Action Power cycle the switch. If that does not work, return the chassis.

Hopefully, TAC has a better answer than this.

Thank you, Reza. We just rebooted the VSS pair this weekend with the latest SafeHarbor IOS-XE version and the power supply is still showing an issue.
07-30-2018 02:00 PM
Hi,
Can the TAC resolve this issue without replacing the chassis?
