Hi,
I'm trying to find out if there is a command in NX-OS to clear an SNMPD process. I believe I have a Nexus 3048 that is suffering from high snmpd cpu usage, and I would like to restart just the snmpd process to see if that clears the problem before a full reload.
I can't seem to find an option under the "clear" command, and the only reference I can find to my situation on the interwebz is here:
https://manilageek.wordpress.com/2013/06/03/intro-to-cisco-nx-os/
Under section 6.
However, it requires a plugin that I do not have. Any thoughts? I could remove the configuration and add it back in, but if possible I'd rather just kill the PID.
Thanks in advance,
PW

Hello Patrick
Like you mentioned, it requires a plugin. The plugin is internal to Cisco. If you require to restart the snmpd process, you can open a TAC case and the tac engineer can help you reset the process using that plugin.
You can try removing the configuration but i dont really think its going to help much in your case. Its important to troubleshoot why the CPU is being high due to SNMP process.
