Switch 2: SerialNo : CAT0806Y19J

6) TestPortAsicMem -----------------> .
Can someone point us to an explanation of potential causes of the above failure.
We've been seeing input errors on the some of the ports (not all) in our 3750.
Initial troubleshooting seems to indicate the errors stay with the port.
(i.e. we moved an uplink from a port that had no errors to one of the problem ports. The errors stay with the problem port).
It's not a lot of errors, but enough to cause the occasional diconnect to the machines hanging off the uplink.
Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,
TestPortAsicLoopback ------------> F could mean alot of things. If you do a "show post", do you get a Failed display?
Contact Cisco and have the unit replaced. In the absence of a maintenance contract, there could be a chance you could avail of the 10-business day lifetime warranty.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response. I do not get any failed results after the "show post".
It should be under maint., so we'll start the TAC process. I always like to check this forum before making the TAC call.
Thanks again.
