Hi all experts.
I have a simple question. Lets say i have an ISR (1800,2800). IOS is corrupt and i need to upload IOS into flash. I know the procedure of tftpdnld. This process assigns the defined IP to the first interface of the router. Like in case of 1841, ip is assigned to Fastethernet 0/0. If for some reason Fa0/0 is damaged, do i have any option to manually assign this IP to Fa0/1 ?

Hello Jonn,
Yes, on 1800/2800 series, you can select the Ethernet port to be used using the FE_PORT or the GE_PORT variable in ROMMON (the GE_PORT is not available on models with Fast Ethernet ports, and vice versa).
See the following document for more information:
Best regards,
Peter

Hello Jonn,
Unfortunately, for 2600 series, only the first LAN interface is supported. It is stated in the following document:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps259/products_tech_note09186a008015bf9e.shtml
Specifically, the article says:
The ROMmon TFTP transfer works on the first LAN port only. However, for the Cisco 2612, you can choose the Token Ring or Fast Ethernet port.
Best regards,
Peter
