Assuming you want to keep the traffic private you would need to setup a VPN for this.

See this link for details -

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/routers/1700-series-modular-access-routers/71462-rtr-l2l-ipsec-split.html

Note, if you are only doing this for a connection between two sites then using the above is fine.

If you were looking to do this for multiple sites then you may want to look into DMVPN.

We can't possibly answer this question without more details -

1) when you say same network do you mean the same IP subnet at both sites

2) are you talking about routing over the internet or an MPLS network

3) what equipment is at both sites

think of it from our point of view.

We need to understand the setup and what you are trying to achieve.

Hi Jon,

1) Different IP subnets like 1_192.168.10.0 & 11.0 , 2_192.168.12.0 & 13.0

2) routing over internet

3) 1_cisco 1941 and 2_ 2811 routers

how to communicate between 1_ and 2_ over internet. ?

Thanks.,
