Hello Vikrant, Alain,

This indeed does not seem to be caused by a corrupted config register setting.

Vikrant, can you post the entire transcript of the booting process after you power off and power on the router, including the failure to boot, the ROMMON session and your "reset" command after which the router boots up? Thank you!

Best regards,

Peter

Do you happen to have a modem connected to the console port of the router?

Sometimes when a modem echos back the output it actually trips the router into a ctrl-break thus putting it in RMON.

Hi,

A great idea! Yes, that could be the cause. Also, possibly any device connected to the console (I am not sure about the AUX) can emit a character that may be misrepresented by the router as a break.

Best regards,

Peter

Console port is connect into System,  what should i do in this condition ?

System returned to ROM by bus error at PC 0x81D0E86C, address 0x81D0E86C at 11:02:45 UTC Mon Dec 20 2010

What is this?  Do you have any "crashinfo" file(s)?

Yep,

I had Crashinfo files in Flash, but I deleted it from Flash,

What should i do now ?
