Looks fine, Ron.

Hi Sir Leo,

After a restart or shutdown , router boots back to rommon then I have to issue a reset command then router boots to user mode..

Thanks..

Hi Ron,

I understood that you already set the confreg as 0x2102. Could you verify the below and ensure that you have right cofig register and boot sequence

          #show version

          #show run | include boot

          #dir flash:

  • Remove irrelevant boot statement and ensure that you configure the right boot statement

          example:

          2600#configure terminal

Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.

          2600(config)#no boot system

          2600(config)#boot system flash:c2600-adventerprisek9-mz.124-12.bin

          2600(config)#^Z

  • Remove the previous IOS image from flash if any

  • Verify the IOS image

          2600#verify flash:c2600-adventerprisek9-mz.124-12.bin

I am not seeing any known behavior on this issue, its strange the it didnt give any error message while it is going into Rommon.

Please share #show tech as well to understand the behavior.

Aru

Any update guys. Thanks..

hi ron,

have you tried reseating the CF card and/or replaced it?

Hi Ron,

If possible, format the flash: then copy the image again. Then verify the performance and share the detail,

  • If it is Class B file system, please do #erase flash:
  • If it is Class C file system, plese do #format flash:

To determine the file system of a CF memory card, enter the show flash: all

  • If geometry and format information does not appear in the output, the card is formatted with a Class B flash file system.
