Routing on Cisco WS-C2960-8TC-L

Hi Guys,

I have a very basic Cisco switch WS-C2960-8TC-L. I wonder if it is possible to have intervlan switching enabled on it? I know this is L2 switch, but since it doesn't have a fan it's not noisy and I can keep it on my desk.

I can configure VLANs and can't route traffic between then nor to the Internet which would very very useful.

I heard that on some 2960 was possible to use sdm prefer lanbase-routing command.

I'll appreciate any help!

Not with that IOS version, no. 

If I remembered correctly, 15.0(2)SE train supports 10 static routes.

Thanks for response. That is what I was thinking as well... I'm upgrading it to the 15.0.2-SE11 MD as we speak. 

I'll put an update here once finished - it takes a while to do that...

I need help! I can't find iOS ver. 15.x which will work on mine modest 2960-8TC-L model. I have tried a few already and all reported that hardware is not supported. 
Does anyone know what version would work - which also supports intervlan switching?

Sorted! This image works: c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-2.SE.bin which was designed for: Catalyst 2960-48TC-L Switch.

Now I can use this command: sdm prefer lanbase-routing
