RSPAN Problem

I am attempting to configure a remote span over a remote vlan with the following commands:

monitor session 2 source interface Fa2/20

monitor session 2 destination remote vlan 500

Vlan 500 is built in VLan database and is showing as a remote vlan in both switches. This VLAN is also configured on both ends of the trunk.

I get the following error:

% Remote Source Session limit has been exceeded

Which switch platform you are having on which you are getting this message?

How many monitor session you already have configured on your switch? I believe you have crossed the limit for the RSPAN session on the switch.

Hi james,

Please paste the switch config and also " show monitor session all " from the switch.

As per the error, it has corssed the limit for the SPAN session that you can on the switch.
