RSTP BPDUs behavior with different native vlans

hi,

maybe somebody can help me to understand the handling of BPDUs in a RSTP topology where vlan1 is per default the untagged native vlan on all the 802.1Q trunks connecting the swit ches together except for 2 links which use another VLAN as native on their links (of course on each side of the trunk) and so vlan 1 as tagged?!

As I can say so far this is not a needed purpose in that topology and looks like a configuration issu - I just would need to understand if that scenario could be a reason for a possible Loop in the network because there are other 3rd party switches which use PVST+ and sending also BPDUs per VLAN…

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

hm, thanks for the link but does this mean that a loop can occur if different native vlans are used?
