same subnet ,diff vlans

hi,

can we use ranges cut out from a single subnet i.e.;(10.220.6.0/28 and 10.220.6.16/28) on diffrnent vlans say vlan 14 and 15 respectivly.

These 2(10.220.6.0/28 and 10.220.6.16/28) are not single subnet. They are 2 different subnetworks.

You can you use them for 2 different vlans.

If the 'single subnet' you mention is at least a /27 (i.e. 10.220.6.0/27), then yes, that's fine. I'm guessing it's actually a /24 though, which is also fine.

You can also mix subnet sizes, so long as you keep to the correct boundries for each subnet size.

Are you using 10.220.6.0/28 for one vlan and 10.220.6.16/28 for the other Vlan using prefixlength 28?

if that is the case, it will work without any problem becasue it is just 2 differnt subnets in 2 different VLANs
